
Through a dual-volume configuration and vertical light wells, natural light and landscape are introduced. Combined with local materials, the design creates a warm guesthouse that responds to climate and seasonal change.
Using dual volumes and vertical light wells to bring in natural light and views, together with local Hokkaido materials, the design shapes a warm guesthouse that responds to the four seasons.
The overall layout responds to site views and climatic conditions. Through articulated massing, layered vertical voids, and controlled openings, a clear spatial order is established while enhancing the efficiency of daylight access and visual connection to the surrounding landscape.
